They Live

I really enjoyed watching They Live. At first it seemed like a same old movie from the 80’s with a boring plot but it quickly turned into an eye-opening story. The director does a good job telling the story, but I do wish it started showing the juicy part at the beginning. It would be nice to follow up with a sequel or even a little mini-series going more in depth of the aliens' sinister plan or the heroes’ actions. The graphics would look amazing if they were done in today’s movie studios, but the quality of the special effects did not stop me from enjoying and understanding the plot. One thing I did not understand was the tv signals being broadcasted. I know they made the aliens look like humans. Were advertisements meant to control us? It is weird that the aliens see the actual message behind each billboard.
